About Me

My photo
Jean
I have loved photography ever since my father gave me my first, Brownie camera, which I kept in a metal Lipton tea box, at the age of nine. Drawn to nature, mountains, and wilderness all my life, I have a special interest in nature photography, including birds, wildflowers, animals, and scenery. I am also working on videography and video editing. With my husband Randy who is also a photographer, I love to be in wild places, and favorite activities are hiking, bird watching, river rafting, and kayaking. We are fortunate to have a mountain home in Island Park, Idaho, from which we spend as much time as possible exploring Greater Yellowstone and photographing its wildlife. We have also begun to spend more time exploring the color country of southern Utah and its national parks. I retired from my position as chief advancement and fund raising officer for the University of La Verne in Southern California, after a 34 year career in fund raising at three institutions and fund raising consulting. Randy is retired from a career as a biologist, business owner, and high school biology teacher.
